Information about the meetingWe will proceed to the main site for the recovery centre and also the protected free range nesting areas for the Montagu's Harrier conservation project. By this time birds will be flying and we will be accompanied by one of the principle volunteers in the project to update us on the success of their work in 2018.
After our visit to the Montagu's Harrier site, we will then be able to visit La Janda for early migrants and summer residents. After a lunch at a local venta, we will visit Barbate Marshes for waders and summer residents.
Possible BirdsMontagu's Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Spanish Imperial Eagle, Black-winged Kite, Collared Pratincole, Heron sps, Northern Bald Ibis, Lark sps and a great many others.
ClothingIt is likely to be hot and sunny, so light clothing and of course a hat!
FoodThe group will take lunch at a local Venta, but those wishing to bring a packed lunch are free to do so, arranging of course to meet together after we have had our food.
