Hi all again.

Heres number 2, taken in the Sierra Nevada at about 1000m. Habitat was stream side woodland and scrub on the 3rd July 08. Again any help would be great.

Regards Mick.

Still, perseverence pays!

Hi Mick,

Had the following email from Clive Burrows and hope it is helpful.

"Sorry for the delay we have been away butterflying in Hungary for a few days. Had 77 species in 5 days and a Purple Emperor with us on the floor for a couple of hours. I've had a look at the pic and I would say Southern Marbled Skipper, timing sounds right. Hope this helps."

I can confess I tried very hard on this one and gave-up in the end! Well done Clive Burrows. Does Mick agree with the man's id?

Hi All.

Thanks very much for the Id and sorry for the delay, I don't go on line much at this time of the year as it is just to dam hot in the room where the PC is. The Id looks good to me but is the insect variable. I have some more shots of a much greyer butterfly taken in Teba Gorge Malaga. The marking are exactly the same but the general colour is greyer.

Thanks Mick.
