Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on this Blue. It was at Benaojan a few years ago in early May. The upperwing markings point to a Spotted Adonis Blue but I think a possible Common Blue aberration. Could also be a cross breed between Common and Adonis Blues??

Surprised Mick hasn't had a peep and commented Clive. After helping his posts I thought he might have done that? I will take a good look.

Hi Clive,

Had a really good look and I believe your Butterfly is Adonis Blue Lysandra bellargus. Looking at a few photographs of my own, then believe these markings are more common than generally realised. Also worthwhile to read notation in latest Collins regarding possibility of polyploidy with L. punctifera.
