A shot from Friday of the Paperwhite Narcissus, in the late afternoon sun on the shortest day of the year.

Hi Kevin,

I am still looking for the Paperwhites, Narcissus papyraceus, up here in the mountains. Some years we find them before Christmas, but at the moment there is no sign. The lateness of plants must be due to the drought that we had up until Christmas Eve.

Orchids won't appear up here until March.

Hopefully it will be a good flower season again this year if we keep having showers.
