Yesterday in Tablas de Daimiel: Redstart, Pied Flycatchers, still a lot of Nightingales and a solitaire Wood Warbler (a bird seen only on migration and very scarce here).
Today in my town Almagro (Campo de Calatrava) over ten Pied Flycatchers, several Spotted Flycatchers, Melodious Warbler, Northern Wheatear and just one Honeybuzzard. But many interesting birds too: Black & Griffon Vultures, Golden, Spanish Imperial and Bonelli's Eagle, Sparrowhawk, Hawfinch and over 350 Greater Flamingoes in the beautiful Laguna del Acebuche, a volcanic lagoon sited in the middle of the Sierra.
This year the migration has started sooner than in other years. Be aware in the South!
