Hi Kevin,

We saw one yesterday too over Bonanza, on the ABS trip.

Today, at Bonanza again we saw a Grey Phalerope! We do have photos of it, but they are not very good unfortunately.

On Friday 20th Feb there was a Short-toed Eagle over Gaucin and today 3 Black Kite and 2 Black Stork.  Plenty of House Martin busying themselves at nest sites but as yet, no Booted Eagle.

Monday 23 Feb: a singles of Black Kite and Barn Swallow in Gaucin. Not much happening at the moment with the strong northerly winds presumably keeping most birds the other side of the straits.

Great sighting Paul - been a while since I saw one pass by here - 21 years I think!!  Pair of Short-toed Eagles back on their territory today.

Yes, we get the occasional sighting of Egyptian Vulture around Gaucin but they are always great to see. Today saw the first 'big' numbers of Black Kite moving through with groups of 77, 9 and 13 through the afternoon. Still awaiting the first Booted Eagle!

Whauw, 50! Then the one I heard calling yesterday is not worth mentioning! They tend to fly around on the other side of the small ridge, where I can´t see them! And when they do come to my side, it´s usually too short a visit to get the binoculars out!!!  :-\

We really got quickly from winter to summer again this year, didn´t we?

Saludos
