Hi All.

I am visiting the area around Algecirus for a couple of days next week and hope to get a few hours birding in and would like to see this particullary wintering Long-legged Buzzard. Does any one have any more detailed directions than just Los Barrios?

Many thanks Mick.

Hi Mick,
I am told by a photographer friend in Algeciras (Fernando Barrios) that the place you may see them is near an urbanización between Algeciras and Tarifa called El Cuartón. It`s near a petrol station and restaurant called El Mesón de Sancho. Last year a pair raised two chicks in the sierra there.
cheers

Hi Mike.

Thanks very much for the information, I had heard that breeding had taken place. This bird is probably one of the birds wintering.

Again Thanks Mick.
