This stunning damselfly is common along clear rivers and streams in Spain. The coppery-red male with dark wings is unmistakable, and the female is equally beautiful in pale golden brown or metallic green This species does not occur in Northern Europe.

Nice shots Steve, they are a cracking species which I was pleased to be seeing right up to the start of November up here. I have attached another couple of shots, a Female and a pair just before they went into tandem.
