Good morning all. I'm heading across for two days birding and R&R at Rio Guadalhorce staying in Gaudalmar.

Can anyone point me to the best location on the reserve for Purple Swamphens? Also if there are any updated sightings on any spring migration it would be greatly appreciated.

Can't wait to visit, see some great birds and see some sunshine :-)

Thank you in advance.  Dave

Good morning....well nothings guaranteed of course, but the best place for Purple Swamphens is at the far end of the lake viewing from the Escondido hide.

Thank you for the information Derek.  Is that the end of the reserve or can you follow the path around the whole "triangle" of Guadalhorce?
