Title: Bird Guide for Fuerteventura?
Post by: Peter on March 30, 2009, 03:08:11 pm
For about the 3rd time in as many weeks I have been asked if I know a bird guide who does day tours in Fuerteventura. Does anyone know of any such person?

Peter ???

Hi Peter

I would recomend Derek Bradbury as a day guide for Fuerteventura. I have just returned from a family holiday on the island which included some guided birding with Derek and his local knowledge was superb and I'm sure I would have missed key spcies such as the Chat without his advice (particularly as time is at a premium on a family holiday). You can contact him though his website http://www.fuerteventurabirdwatch.co.uk/

I have recently put a trip report on Bird Forum under vacational trip reports - Fuerteventura March 2009 with further details.

Cheers
Simon

Hi Simon,

First and foremost a very warm welcome to the ABS Forum. Thank you very much for the information and have passed this to the various people enquiring about a guide in Fuerteventura. Derek sounds a good guide and it is always useful to have contacts like these in far flung countries, where local knowledge can save time and get you your target species.

BTW enjoyed the trip report and would you mind to post it here on Vacational Trip Reports?

Thanks again.

Peter
