Jan and I will be there.

We will be staying in the hotel El Mirador in Loja

So we are wondering if the Padul Wetlands might be somewhere nearby to visit on the day before. Can you give directions (ideally lat/long such as from Google Earth) please?

Hi, My husband Mike and I are new members and will be coming on our first field trip with you on 27th. April to Loja. We are not very experienced in bird watching so hope to be inspired!
Barrie and Jan, we are also booked into the El Mirador the night before. It would be nice if we could say 'hello' so that we know someone beforehand.
We are coming out from England on Tuesday but don't have an internet connection in Spain. I will get to the internet cafe next week sometime to check
the forum.
Cheers Barbara

I will be attending this meeting. I arrive in Spain on 25th April and I am looking forward with meeting up with everyone again. A lift up the mountain with someone would be great, please, if anyone has a spare seat. Linda

Hello! good morning,

I´m a new member and I would like to attend to my first field trip with ABS. I´m Spanish and I work as a mountain guide in Torcal and Málaga surroundings. I´m a very keen on wildlife and plants, especially orquids. Because of Spring seasson, I'm becoming a fan of birds and I´ll be elated to learn sth more about mountain birds and to share my knowledge with friends.

Apologies for the short notice.

Looking forward to tomorrow - we sent our names to Bob a long time ago, so it should be ok with us, 4 people in 1 car.
Hope we find where to meet, have never been that way before...
Good regards

Thank you Mick for a great day of birding yesterday. It was very well organised and we had some cracking birds - Golden Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle, Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush, Spectacled Warbler, Orphean Warbler and many others.
